A little bit about my hair. I use to dye my hair ALL the time because years back I use to work at a hair salon. With the hair colouring done and styling tools I use my hair is left really dry and dead. But I do take time to deep condition my hair and avoid using heat on my hair too much. Mind you my hair is naturally a bit wavy and the length is almost up to my waist. Time for a hair cut I know lol.
I had received my package from Misikko not too long ago which was sent to me for a review which included the Hana professional flat iron 1". I haven't had the time to try it out right away because I've been so busy. With the holidays, last minute shopping and what not I barely have time to do anything to my hair. However, a few days ago I woke up a bit early and managed to do my hair that morning. (Pictures below)
The one thing I noticed right away when I received was that they really put time and effort into packaging the products and making sure that everything was in place and carefully packaged. I also love that they included a bunch of other things which of course is always a bonus.
I have used a few hair straighteners in the past but I must say I am very impressed with this one. The speed on how fast this straighter heats up is pretty darn fast. I would say it takes about 2 minutes to heat up which is great, especially on days you're in a rush to get out of the house. The heating settings on this starts at 140 and goes up to 450.
One of my favourite things about this product is that I can actually straighten my hair in probably under 10 minutes which to me is amazing considering how long and thick my hair is. It cuts down more than half the time I normally would have to straighten my hair with other products I've used in the past. I find it fantastic that I don't have to go over the same part of hair that I just straighten.
Another great feature about this product is that is there a swivel cord which makes it easy to use because the cord doesn't get all tangled up.
I haven't even mentioned how great my hair feels after I'm done straightening it. The straightener itself with 'hana shine shield' definitely leaves my hair feeling silky smooth.
Last but not least I must mention how much I love the mat it comes with that I can put it on while I'm using it so I don't burn anything.
Overall: I have found my newest favourite hair straightener! It is definitely replacing my old one. Oh and I forgot to mention, this thing also gives me great curls!! I'll post a picture of me with curls using this iron in a future post.
